Class of ’64 Reunion Committee

Minutes – April 13, 2008

The Catonsville Senior High School Class of 1964 Reunion Committee met on Sunday April 13, 2008, hosted by Paulette Geisenkotter Hammond.  Those in attendance were Class President Richards Steinbock, Paulette Geisenkotter Hammon, Ed Fishel, Jim Wick and Rick Webb.

General discussion centered on the difficulty of planning for the “Cruise / Crab Feast” as previously discussed.  Factors included, low crab harvest experienced for the past several years and Maryland’s soon to be place restrictions on crabbing, uncertainty with fuel prices, the inability to even “ballpark” pricing for the cruise AND the desire to set the stage for a bigger and better 50^th Reunion.  It was decided to move the major event to the Saturday Picnic with Friday evening set as an informal cocktail party. 

The dates are good e.g. the last weekend in September 2009, Friday September 25^th and Saturday September 26^th.  Sunday on your own.

Specific assignments are as follows:

            Friday Evening – Informal cocktail party at the Candlelight Lodge – Paulette

            Saturday morning High School Tour – 10 to 11 a.m. – Paulette

            Saturday Picnic – Noon to Close (10 p.m.) Hilton Area Patapsco Valley State Park

                        Permits - Rick

                        Picnic Food – Andy Nelson Barbecue Catering– Rick

                                                Poulet Gourmet Catering – Ed

                        Music – Dennis et. al.

                        Athletic Equipment for softball, volley ball, badminton, croquet – Ed & Jim

                        50 / 50 – Rick   proceeds either to support this year or 50th

                        Trivia Contest – Committee

                        Prizes – Ed

                        Name Tags – Ed

                        Commemorative Book – Steiny

                        Classmate Search – Jim

                                    Steiny will join Classmates.com representing Catonsville Class of ’64 at

                                                Committee’s expense

                                    Will ask Nils if we can send out a broadcast email to all known

                                    Classmates with an email address from our website that would include a

                                     list of lost members asking for assistance in locating them.   Send info to

                                     Rick Webb at his email address.

Next meeting is scheduled for Sunday October 5^th, 3:00 p.m. at Jennings Café.  Let Rick know if you will be attending in order to reserve table(s).  This will be an important meeting because announcements will start to go out after this meeting.
