Catonsville High School
Class of ’64 Reunion Committee
Minutes – June 8, 2009
The Catonsville Senior High School
Class of 1964 Reunion Committee met on Monday June 8,
2009 at the Caton Tavern, area known as the “Junction”
(I guess it was called that because the #8 turned around
there).
Those in attendance were
Ruth Noland, Paulette Hammond, Cathy Johnson, Don Hands,
Jim Wich, Dennis Colson, Nils Lehneis, Wayne Swift and
Rick Webb. As we get closer there appears to be
less that needs to be done other then confirmation of
those items already discussed.
Mailings
·
301 invitations have been mailed.
Of those 21 have been
returned with a bad address.
Those have been researched
to include follow up contact by email and telephone
calls, but generally to no avail.
·
Within the next week a broadcast
email will be sent out as a reminder, but encouraging
classmates to check with fellow classmates that they
keep in touch with to see if they’ve receive an
invitation.
If not, to encourage them
to email Rick Webb
rwebb@affcu.org with
their current contact information.
We have over 200 lost
souls.
Website · The invitation will be added to the website.
·
Emphasis
will be added to check the missing classmates list to
see if we can’t shorten that list
Saturday
Picnic
·
Cost to enter the Park.
Ahhhhhhh the benefits of
getting older.
The $2 per person Park
Entrance Fee will be waived for anyone that is 62 or
older . . . that should be all of us.
Should you come with that
younger spouse or jailbait, you might want to consider
hiding them in the trunk as you did when going to
Edmondson Drive-In.
·
We will be in Pavilion #576 and
we’ve been told that we must leave by sunset which will
be around 6:58 pm.
Anyone wanting to protest
the authorities can do so at your own risk . . .maybe
some bra burning might work?
·
Ed wasn’t
able to make this meeting but we’re depending on him for
sports equipment and name tags.
Golf
·
More to come, so watch the website
www.catonsville1964.com.
Danny Eckman with the help of Charlie Rittenhouse are
making plans as we “speak” with the most significant
decision being the number of allowable mulligans.
I’d vote for one for every
five years since we graduated or perhaps one for each
verifiable operation since graduation.
Responses
·
Responses are coming in.
Steiny is putting together
the Reunion Book
·
We’re encouraging everyone to give
us their suggestion for the 50th which is
included on the invitation response.
Next meeting is scheduled for
Wednesday July 8th at 11:45 at Dimitri’s
Restaurant, 2205 Frederick Road @ Thistle Road.
Didn’t we have a teacher
“caught” on Thistle Road?
I think Dimitri’s might
have been called the “8 Mile House”?
Let Rick know if you will
be attending in order to reserve table(s).
Respectfully submitted, Rick Webb
