Class of ’64 Reunion Committee

Minutes – March 22, 2009

(rescheduled from 3/1/09 due to snow or the threat thereof)

The Catonsville Senior High School Class of 1964 Reunion Committee met on Sunday March 22, 2009 at Michael’s 1600 (the old Ridgeway Inn).  Those in attendance were Class President Richards Steinbock, Paulette G. Hammon, Ruth Nolan, Gale Wachter, Cathy M. Johnson,  and Rick Webb.

 

We’re at the point of making some final decisions:

            Friday night September 25th      CONFIRMED

·         Candlelight Lodge, on the patio, from 7:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.

·         Finger food buffet and cash bar

·         Music, 50/50

·         Ticket price $30

·         Casual dress

Saturday September 26th

·         CHS tour from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

·         Picnic at the McKeldin Area off Marriottsville Road - CONFIRMED

·         Food from 3 to 6, beer, wine, soda all day ($28 / person) CONFIRMED

Pit beef, pit ham, turkey, hot dogs, potato salad, macaroni salad, pasta salad, baked beans, fruit platter, condiments, fresh baked bread, beer, wine & soda, paper products, dessert

·         Music with a DJ (Bruce Coyle) from 6:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m.  CONFIRMED

·         Sports events, trivia, 50/50, dancing, etc.      

·         Ticket Price $35

Sunday September 27th

·           Sunday on your own.

Mailings (we’ll probably get together and do those as a group)

·         May 1st or thereabouts – “Save The Date” post cards and emails

·         July 5th or shortly thereafter – Official Invitation

·         Cutoff date 9/1/09 (official that is)

·         Signing up for three $$$ items 1) Friday night cocktails @ $30, 2) Saturday picnic @ $35,       3) Reunion Book @ $10 (final price to be determine)

·         Mailing Labels – Nils if he can do

Specific assignments are as follows:

            Friday             Candlelight Lodge – Paulette

                           MC – Gary for both nights    

            Saturday morning High School Tour  – Paulette

            Saturday Picnic – Noon to Close (10 p.m.) McKeldin Area off Marriottsville Road

                        Permits – Jim                                     Public Relations - Ed

                        Golf on Friday – Danny Eckman            Picnic Food – Gail

                        Music – Dennis                                   Athletic Equipment  – Ed & Jim

                        50 / 50 – Rick   proceeds either to support this year or 50th

                        Trivia Contest – Committee                    Prizes – Ed

                        Name Tags – Steiny                           Flyer - Steiny

                        Commemorative Book – Steiny            Classmate Search – Jim

                        Printing – Mike D, Steiny to follow up

Next meeting is scheduled for Sunday May 3rd  4:30 p.m. at a location to be named.  Let Rick know
